About Me

I have been a resident and worked in town for 37 years.  My husband and I raised our children here and have treasured living here from the first day.

I served on the Trails committee and kept horses in Town for many years. I volunteered with the schools while my sons were attending Ormondale and Corte Madera. I also have attended and speak regularly at various Town meetings.

Being a retired realtor in Portola Valley and surrounding towns for 20 years infused in me the ability to relate and arbitrate with many different kinds of people. This line of work enhanced my knowledge about the culture of the Town and its surrounding communities.

I also ran the business end of an auto repair business that my husband and I owned for 30 years. This position taught me well the fine points of bookkeeping, permitting, and city and state reporting.

Fire safety is particularly important to me as my sister and brother in law's home was completely destroyed  during the Tubbs fire in Santa Rosa.  With our landscape being exactly as theirs - rolling hills, oaks and grasslands, I have seen how quickly one can lose their homes (and lives) in a fire. It concerns me greatly and I would like to aim at further safety measures and wildfire mitigation to be developed in our town.

As a council member, I would strive to help Portola Valley retain its small-town character and ambiance.
